Last weekend, we had our first ever well-deserved family-outing with Garrie. We’ve been looking forward to it for months, even before when Garrie was still enjoying her time inside mum’s tummy. At the same time, it also served as a breather for hubby and me after a stressful week at work.

We went to a private mountain resort somewhere in Adlawan that is a few kilometers away from Ayala Heights, a posh subdivision along Transcentral Highway. It was a bumpy and a bit scary ride, imagine going up about 2000 feet above sea level, whew! Surprisingly, our little one was so behaved and seemed enjoying the ride. It took us about a couple of hours to get there from our place.

I fell in love with the place the moment I saw it...it felt heaven! The sky is just like within our reach, the view of the entire Cebu and its neighboring islands is spectacular, and the resort’s infinity pool was just the best! It was the first time for Garrie to go swimming on a ‘real pool’ as she is just so used to splashing around in her mini-bathtub every day. At first, she was a bit scared and for the first time, we saw her hugged her superman daddy tightly (see 1st pic above). But, Garrie is one brave girl that she began to kick voluntarily after just a few minutes of dipping her legs in the water.

Apparently, Garrie loves the water so much that she didn't want us to take her out of the pool anymore. She's certainly a water baby! ;)
