Our social butterfly turns 6!

Our little tot just turned six-month old, and she enjoys being around with new faces, especially with kids.  A weekend is never complete without going to a mall or church, or anywhere with people hanging out.  I am happy that at such a young age, she seems to be one sociable kiddo.

It’s Feeding Time

Next week, our Garrie will turn 6 months old and by then, she’s ready for her first baby food.  As a first time mom, this is another baby’s milestone that I would cherish forever.

Everyone in the family is now excited and eager to feed Garrie, in fact my sister Haidee, already bought some baby food for her fave niece.  For convenience, I bought a set of baby food processor while, Hubby is already preparing Garrie’s DIY high-chair, and we can’t wait to see her on it…that doubles the excitement!

Keeping our Faith

It’s Holy Week… the time of the year packed with a series of religious activities such as Visita Iglesia, the Stations of the Cross or the Way of the Cross (also called Via Crucis and Via Dolorosa) and the “Sugat” or the resurrection of Christ.  Visita Iglesia is a practice of Catholic believers to visit 14 churches, representing the 14 Stations of the Cross to reflect, meditate, and offer penance and prayers while, the Via Crucis is the interpretation of the last hours of Jesus commonly known as the Passion of Christ.

Garrie's 1st swimming adventure

Last weekend, we had our first ever well-deserved family-outing with Garrie.  We’ve been looking forward to it for months, even before when Garrie was still enjoying her time inside mum’s tummy.  At the same time, it also served as a breather for hubby and me after a stressful week at work.

Snuggle Nest

Of all baby things that our lil Garrie has, there is one that I love the most – her Baby Delight Snuggle Nest.  This most loved item was a gift from my cousin who is now based in San Diego, CA.  Why do I love this thingy?  Let me count the raison d'être…
Baby Delight Snuggle Nest
  • I love it because it is designed for newborns, from birth until the baby is able to push up or rollover, as described in the user’s manual or ideally until the baby is 4-months old.
  • I love it because it is designed with features that prevent SIDS.  These features as presented on Baby Delight’s website include:
    • Firm pad - Provides firm sleeping surface
    • Envelope Sheet - Reduces hazard of loose sheeting
